PMI 1/12 TICKED DOWN IN AUGUST; GENERAL TREND SUPPORTS INDUSTRIAL SECTOR EXPANSION THROUGH AT LEAST MID-2027
The US ISM PMI (Purchasing Managers Index) 1/12 ticked down in August. The overall trend in the 1/12 supports our expectations for mild US industrial sector growth through 2026, although PMI results in recent months suggest potential upside risk to our expectations for 2027.
