Some years back I read Peter Senge's The Fifth Discipline: The Art & Practice of The Learning Organization. (https://readingraphics.com/book-summary-the-fifth-discipline/). An overall excellent read, Senge's book brought to my attention the MIT Beer Game which simulates a simple production/distribution system for one brand of beer. The 1960s classroom simulation illustrates and helps understand how elements in a complex system interact to create ripple effects or chain-link effects. In other words, what we regular experience in the USA steel supply chain. So for your reference....
